I am constantly being asked about how our church and website is doing. I would like to take a few minutes and share with you what God has done and is doing at New Life through the Sermons we post on our website and Sound cloud.
I know every true church is called to propagate the gospel of Christ, but I also believe each church has its own unique fingerprint. We at New Life have always had an evangelistic passion and desire to reach out of the four walls of the church and take the gospel of Jesus in word and deed to all who would listen. Over the years, we have attempted to spread the good news in many ways including freely handing out sermons on cassette and later on CD’s. This ministry produced a lot of spiritual fruit, but as technology has made things easier we have gradually incorporated other evangelistic approaches. In 2014 we had a website built for our church. Our initial goal for the website was to introduce our church to the community and place the sermons on it each month so that we could reach those in our local area that were sick, shut in or just couldn’t attend church. As I soon learned, we should never limit or underestimate God. What began to happen next shocked me.
Before I tell you what He is doing, let me briefly explain how it works. Each month we place new sermons from our church to the website. For those who don’t know, much of the web traffic from a website can be viewed. This includes certain information such as how many times a sermon has played, been downloaded or shared. Although it does not allow me to know a person’s name or address, it will allow me to know the country and city of the listener.
I said all that to say this. Almost immediately, I began to notice as I checked the statistics of the web traffic each week, that the sermons were being listened to, shared and downloaded all over the globe on a regular basis. God had put our small church into global evangelism almost overnight. I expected to see a lot of local traffic from word of mouth, but didn’t expect to see such a global response. I found it amazing that someone in South Korea or Egypt was listening and downloading the sermons from our church. It amazed me to see how God will use us if we will obey Him. Although our church may be small, our God is not.
Here is a quick rundown of some of the Countries where the sermons from New Life are being continuously played, shared or downloaded: USA (most all states), Canada, Mexico, India, China, Russia, Germany, United Kingdom, Chile, Brazil, Peru, Nicaragua, Greece, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, France, Australia, Egypt, Pakistan, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Switzerland,
