God calls the ant “exceedingly wise” for being prepared for what he knows is coming. While physical preparation for our earthly needs is wise and shows faith in God, the first preparation anyone should take should be to prepare their soul to face Almighty God in these last days. What a sad thing for those who make great preparations for earthly provisions only to neglect eternal preparation.
